1914 (Friday)

  • Three men are recruited at Wreay.
  • 22 men are recruited at St. Nicholas and Recruiting Office, Carlisle.[1]
  • Thomas Spencer is recruited at Penrith.[2]
  • Telegram: "stop attestation form Joseph Young find he has just finished three months imprisonment....he will be prosecuted tomorrow." [3]

1916 (Monday)

  • Battalion leaves Labeuvrere at 7am in full marching order.
  • Arrives Monchy Breton at 1pm and remains there over night.
  • Deaths: Robert Bell (18276).

1917 (Tuesday)

  • Teteghem: Throughout the morning, A, C and D Company are at the disposal of Company Commanders for physical drill and musketry training.
  • B Company goes on 6 mile route march.
  • Recreation takes place in the afternoon.
