1914

  • 12 men are recruited at Burgh-by-Sands.[1]

1916

  • Battalion situated in the Reserve line, supplying Royal Engineer parties.[2]
  • Brigadier General Jardine, Commander of the 97th Brigade, visits the Lonsdales.[2]

1917

  • Battalion situated at Teteghem where companies are at disposal of Company Commanders.[3]
  • Specialist training carries on. Recreation in the afternoon.[3]
