1914 (Wednesday)

  • One man is recruited at Kirkbampton, three men at Orton and 22 men at Causewayhead.[1]
  • Heights of recruits recorded. Chest measurement varied between 32” and 40”.[2]

1916 (Saturday)

  • Battalion leaves Longuevillete at 8am in full marching order. Arrives Herissat 1.45pm.
  • Parade of bombers for live grenade throwing.

1917 (Sunday)

  • Battalion situated at Teteghem. Church Parade at 10.30am.
