  • 12 men are recruited at Burgh-by-Sands.[1]
  • Enlistments: John Bragg (13855), Sydney Caddy (13841) and Thomas Ibison (13793).
  • Bertram Elliott of Appleby attests and almost immediately deserts.[2]
